No Border

In 2021, hundreds of thousands of Burmese migrant workers and refugees escaped to Thailand due to the coup and military suppression of ethnic minorities launched by the Myanmar army. The border originally accommodating Thais, ethnic Chinese, and various ethnic minorities was again affected by the cross-country migration after achieving balance among groups.
No Border is an ongoing series of works, focusing on the border between Thailand and Myanmar after 2021 by means of photovoice. In social science, photovoice is a participatory research method based on communities, examining and analyzing participant-taken photos and conversation records. The creator further lived with the participants, inviting them to take, select, post-produce, and edit photos together, endowing the participants with more power and subjectivity in the works.
